Addie Marie Bunch-Holmes 68, of Searcy passed away on Friday, June 7 at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center in Little Rock, AR.

Addie was born on February 15, 1956 in Becton, Arkansas to Jewell Bunch Sr and Addie Lee Floyd-Bunch.

Addie received her education from Cotton Plant High School. She was a proud 1975 graduate of Cotton Plant High School.

Growing up in Cotton Plant, Addie attended New Mount Zion Baptist Church. She later went on to join Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Carlisle, Arkansas, where her membership remained until her passing. In recent years she had been attending Pleasant Ridge MB Church in Hickory Plains for the last six years.

Addie was employed with Homestead Home Health Care for 6 years where she retired from in 2017. Throughout the years, she had also worked as a substitute teacher at the Cotton Plant School District.

Addie married Larry Holmes Sr. on June 18, 1977 in Cotton Plant, Arkansas and to this union 2 sons were born.

Addie's parents Jewell Bunch Sr. and Addie Lee Bunch; and brother Samuel Bunch preceded her in death.

Survivors are her husband: Reverend Larry Holmes of Searcy, AR; two sons: Larry Holmes Jr. of Searcy, AR and Tyrone (Sharicka) Holmes of Glenn Heights, TX; six grandchildren: Shantez Holmes of Newport, AR; Sy'mone Holmes of Arlington, TX; Tyrene Holmes, Rayven Jones, Raymonee Jones, and Tenaeya Turner all of Glenn Heights, TX; one great-grandchild: Massiah Holmes of Newport, AR; twelve brothers: Shervine (Jamie) Bunch of Fulerton, CA; Jewell (Wanda) Bunch of DeValls Bluff, AR; Theodis (Gwen) Bunch of Pine Bluff, AR; James (Christine) Bunch of Cordova, TN; Willie (Gwen) Bunch of Aurora, CO; Lester (Lawana) Bunch of Fayetteville, AR; Eddie (Gwendolyn) Bunch of Carlisle, AR; Garry Bunch and Donald Ray (Debbie) Bunch all of Cotton Plant, AR; Daniel (Tiffani) Bunch of Frisco, TX; Alexander Bunch of Fayetteville, AR; and Leodis (Kelly) Bunch of Springdale, AR; two sisters: Josephine Bunch of Cotton Plant, AR and Jessie (Reverend James) Harston of Oakland, TN; one aunt; Annie Lee Ivey of Cotton Plant, AR; and a special nephew; Brenden Smith of Searcy, AR and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday evening June 14 from 5 until 7 PM at C.J. Williams Funeral Directors and Cremations, 124 South Main Avenue in Brinkley. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 208 East Clair Street in Des Arc with Reverend Eddie Bunch officiating.
