Allen Earl Johnson Sr.

Allen Earl Johnson Sr. 68 of Stuttgart, passed away on Saturday morning, February 25, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Stuttgart.

Allen was born on January 9, 1955 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Preston Johnson and Louise Paxton-Johnson.

Allen was a member of the Lively Stone Pentecostal Church in Stuttgart for more than 5 years, where he and with the men's chorus and was a soloist. He had previously been a member at Haven Temple Pentecostal Church in England, Arkansas.

Allen received his early education from the Stuttgart Public School District. He was a member of the Stuttgart High School graduating class of 1973. He later went on to attend trade school.

Allen was employed for over 20 years at Lennox Industries in Stuttgart until his retirement in 2007. He had previously been employed at Riceland Foods also in Stuttgart for more than 13 years.

Allen was united in holy matrimony to Yalonda Allen in January 9, 1996.

His granddaughter Jasmine Gooseberry and his parents: Preston Johnson and Louise Johnson preceded Allen in death.

Survivors are: his wife of 27 years Yalonda Allen-Johnson of Stuttgart, AR; two sons: Allen (Erica) Johnson Jr. of Jacksonville, AR; and Blake Johnson of Tuscaloosa, AL; six daughters: Tameka Johnson of Dallas, TX; Tekesha Ellis of Pine Bluff, AR; Latoria (Demetris) Wofford of Hampton, VA; Qiana Washington, of Atlanta, GA; London Johnson of Stuttgart, AR; a goddaughter Michelle McCoy, Stuttgart ,AR; eleven grandchildren; three brothers: Gary Johnson and Freddie Mitchell both of Little Rock AR; Maurice Mitchell of Atlanta, GA; two sisters: Norma Johnson and Kayandria Johnson both of Little Rock AR; his mother In law Shirley Allen Of Stuttgart, AR; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday March 4th from 6 until 8 PM at Lively Stone Pentecostal Church, 1204 North Maple Street in Stuttgart. Funeral services will be held Sunday March 5 at 1:30 PM at Victor's Empowerment Center, North College Street in Stuttgart with Pastor Alaine Allen officiating. Interment will take place at Lone Tree Cemetery in Stuttgart by C.J.
