Bessie Lee Payne-Scott

Bessie Lee Payne-Scott 67 of Biscoe AR passed away on Tuesday February 7, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Stuttgart.

Bessie was born February 22, 1955 in Biscoe, Arkansas to Jimmy Payne Sr. and Helen Saxton-Payne.

Bessie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and became a lifelong member at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Biscoe.

Bessie received her formal education from the Biscoe School System and DeValls Bluff School Systems.

Bessie was a formerly Employed as a Certified Nurses Aid with Home Health in the Prairie County until she retired due to health issues.

Her father Jimmy Payne Sr and Helen Payne; her brothers: Jimmy Gene Payne, Jerry Payne and Johnny Payne; sisters: Rudeen Payne, Mary Lou Payne, Bertha Payne, Carrie Payne - Harris and Quincella Payne-Cohen all preceded Bessie in death.

Survivors are; Her husband of 49 years Raymond Scott of Biscoe, AR; two sons: Clinton (Gwendolyn) Payne of De Valls Bluff, AR; Earnest (Serena) Scott of Stuttgart, AR; eight grandchildren: Jasmine (Bradley) Penn of Hazen AR; Jeremy Larkin of Fayetteville, AR; LaQuinton Payne of Jacksonville, AR; Chiquita Scott of Brinkley, AR; Tori Hardnett of Sherwood, AR; Malia Scott and Chloe Luckett both of Stuttgart, AR; Jaden Larkin of Biscoe, AR, 8 great-grandchildren; one sister Queen Walker of Hazen, AR; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday evening, February 17 from 5 until 7 PM at C.J. Williams Funeral Directors and Cremations, 124 South Main Avenue in Brinkley. Funeral service will be on Saturday, February 18 at 2:00 PM at the De Valls Bluff High School Auditorium, 710 East Sycamore Street in De Valls Bluff with Reverend Larry Jones officiating. Interment will take place at Harrison Cemetery in Biscoe by C.J.
