Bobby Allen Spears Sr., 70, of Augusta passed away on February 19 at the Unity Health-White County Medical Center in Searcy.
Bobby was born on October 5, 1954, in Augusta, Arkansas to Robert Charles Spears and Dorothy Lee Heard-Spears.
Bobby received his education from the Augusta Public Schools he was a member of the Augusta High School class of 1973. In his early years, after relocating to Los Angeles, California, he was able to take a few college courses.
While being raised in Augusta, Bobby attended New Holly Grove Baptist Church.
Bobby was united in holy matrimony to Tina Blackwell in April of 2022 in Augusta.
"Bear" or "Jap" as Bobby was affectionately known, was employed with the street department in the city of Augusta. He previously worked in Los Angeles as a security officer at the CVS Pharmacy after having lived there for more than 47 years.
His father Robert Spears; his brother: Henry Louis Spears; and his sister: Henry Mae Spears, all proceeded Bobby in death.
Survivors are his wife: Tina Blackwell Spears of Augusta, AR; his son: Bobby Allen (Gabriella) Spears Jr. of Los Angeles, CA; his three daughters: LaShondra (Everett Sr.) Bouldin of Los Angeles, CA; Jemica Spears of Las Vegas, NV and Evonneda Spears of Los Angeles, CA: 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; his mother Dorothy Lee Spears of Augusta, AR; eight brothers: Charles Spears of Los Angeles, CA; Danny Spears Sr. of McRae, AR; Sammie (Shalonda) Spears and Jeffery (Melissa) Spears both of Searcy, AR ; Aaron Spears, Chester Spears and Randy (Daphne) Spears Sr. of Augusta, AR; Joseph (Benita) Spears of Dallas, TX; two sisters: Dorothy Jean Spears of Conway, AR and Connie (Jody) Akins of Augusta, AR and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 1 at 12:00 PM at New Holly Grove Baptist Church , 501 Main Street in Augusta with Reverend C.L. Gilmore serving as eulogist.
