Callie Mae Delaware-Logan, 87 of Fitchburg, WI, formerly of Brasfield, passed away on Thursday, July 27.
Callie was born February 2, 1936 in Brasfield, Arkansas to Willie Mae Delaware. She was the widow of Samuel Logan.
Callie was a member of Second Baptist Church in Fitchburg, under the leadership of Pastor Anthony Wade. She was a member of the Mother Board. She was formerly a member of First Southern Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois for more than 40 plus years under the leadership of Reverend Steve Robinson. She served as a member of the Usher Board and later as a member of the Mother Board before relocating to Wisconsin.
Her husband Samuel Logan, her son Frank Brown; two grandchildren: Demonae Brown and Kenneth Brown Jr.; her mother Willie Delaware; two brothers: James Henry Delaware and John Delaware Sr.; four sisters: Mary Thomas, Florestine Mack, Evelyn Neal and Christine Ewing all preceded Callie Mae in death.
Survivors are: six children: Mildred (Larry) Sims, Linda Brown, Carolyn Brown, Tony (Andrea) Logan, Lavada Logan, Charlie (Kaulia) Logan; 20 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren; two sisters: Levorn Delaware and Lotus Dinwiddie and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday morning, August 26 at 10 AM at Harrison Cemetery, Highway 70 West in Biscoe by C.J. Williams Funeral Directors and Cremations of Brinkley (870) 589-5036 email: williamsfuneraldirectors2022@gmail.com
Pallbearers will be family members and friends of the community.
