Carlene Bobo-Ratliff

Carlene Ratliff, 97 of Carson, California formerly of Holly Grove passed away on April 19 at her home.

Carlene was born November 7, 1926 in Holly Grove, Arkansas to James Bobo Sr. and Luethel Hampton-Bobo.

Carlene received her education in the Holly Gove school system. After school she was employed as an assembly line worker at Bellville Shoe Factory in Clarendon until she retired.

Carlene was a member of the St. Luke Missionary Church, Holly Grove, Arkansas before moving to California in 2018. While at St. Luke Missionary Church she served on the mother and usher board. She would unite with House of Prayer Church of the Living God in Los Angeles, California, where she remained until her home going.

She loved being around her family and friends. She enjoyed shopping and watching Family Feud with Steve Harvey.

Her parents: James Bobo Sr., and Luethel Hampton-Bobo; husband Richard Ratliff; children:  John McClinton Jr. and Alfred Guydon; grandson Earnest Guydon, Jr.; siblings: James Bobo Sr., William Bobo and Albert Bobo preceded Caerlene in death.

Survivors are; sons: Earnest Guydon of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Lawrence (Joyce) Guydon of Hot Springs, AR; daughters Colleen Guydon of North Little Rock, AR, Sharon (Ray) Rousseau of Carson, CA and Corriner Littlejohn of Chicago, IL; seventeen grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday evening May 10 from 5 until 7 PM at C.J. Williams Funeral Directors and Cremations Chapel, 206 West Washington in Stuttgart. Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 11 at 11:00 AM at the St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church Highway 86 West in Holly Grove with Reverand Dennis Wilson serving as eulogist.
