Cedric DonTerry McKisick

Cedric DonTerry McKisick, 63 of Chicago, Illinois, formerly of Brinkley, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, Illinois.

Cedric was born November 9, 1963 in Brinkley, Arkansas to John T. McKisick and Bernice (Jones) Swanigan-McKisick.

While growing up in Brinkley, "Terry" as Cedric was affectionately known, attended the Brinkley Public School system. He was a 1980 graduate of Brinkley High School.

During his earlier years in Brinkley, Terry attended First Freewill Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Will Swanigan.

Terry relocated to Chicago, Illinois in the early 1980's to live and work.

Terry was employed as a Security Guard for the Chicago Transit Authority for several years, before retiring due to health reasons.

His parents John T. McKisick and Bernice Swanigan-Seward; and two brothers: Kurt Seward and Jonathan Seward all preceded Terry in death.

Survivors are: his Godson, Travillis Williams of Chicago, IL; his brother Shawn (Corinthia) Swanigan of Lithonia, GA; five sisters: Creshondra "GG" McKisick-Brown and Candance (Paul) Seward-Jones both of Little Rock, AR; Cynthia McKisick and Kimberly Seward both of Brinkley, AR; and Stephanie Moss of Overland Park, KS and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial services will be held on Saturday morning, February 22 from 11 AM until 1 PM at the Brinkley Convention Center (Pintail Room), 1501 Weatherby Drive in Brinkley by C.J.
