Charade LaConda Flowers-Ouma, 46 of Memphis, formerly of Holly Grove, passed away on Monday August 28 at Methodist Lebonhur Medical Center in Germantown, Tennessee.
Charade was born January 14, 1977 in Wichita, Kansas to James Flowers and Christine Isby-Flowers.
Charade confessed in hope at a young age under the leadership of Pastor Robert Kelly, Jr. and was a faithful member of First Pentecostal Temple of Deliverance Church in Holly Grove, Arkansas until its doors closed. When she relocated to Memphis, Tennessee, she became a member of New Life Holiness Church under the leadership of Pastor Frederick G. Smith.
Charade attended the Holly Grove High Public School district. She was a 1995 graduate of Holly Grove High School. She was involved in many activities including the cheerleading team, basketball team, and track team. She received many awards for her accomplishments in these sports. She attended Grambling State University from 1995 to 2000.
She was employed with McDonald's in Ruston, LA under Gilley Enterprise where she served as store manager from 1999-2012. She later moved to Memphis, TN where she continued employment with McDonald's under Byrd Enterprise. Through hard work and continued education, Charade was able to serve as General Manager of McDonald's under Pina Elite (Alex Pina) from 2021 until her passing. In this leadership position, Charade was able to serve as trainer.
Her father James Flowers, her brother Marvin Flowers, her grandfather Edward Flowers Sr., her grandmother Geraldine Hardimon, her grandparents T.B. Isby, Sr. and Mary Isby, her uncles L.T., Charlie C., Pete and T.B. Isby, Jr. all preceded Charade in death
Survivors are: her mother Christine Flowers of Holly Grove, AR; her sisters, Conya Watkins (David), Janelle Flowers of Memphis, TN; her brothers, James Flowers of Ruston, LA, Edward Flowers of Marvell, AR and Charles Carter of Holly Grove, AR; God children Jaydren Rushing, Iyiana Dio'or Mariki, and Kingston Jefferson; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday evening, September 8 from 5 until 7 PM at C.J. Williams Funeral Directors and Cremations, 124 South Main Street in Brinkley. Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning, September 9, at 11 AM at the Clarendon Holly Grove High School Auditorium, 320 North 7th Street in Clarendon with Pastor Adrian Tabb officiating. Interment will take place at Hayes Cemetery in Holly Grove by C.J.
