Charles Sloan Jr., 69, of Brinkley, passed away on Saturday, December 7 at his home.

Charles was born on July 1, 1955, in Marked Tree, Arkansas to Charles William Sloan and Juanita Whitt.

Charles was a member of Holy Redeemer Church of God in Christ in Milwaukee, WI before he moved back to Arkansas. Once he returned to Arkansas, he became a member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in DeValls Bluff, Arkansas.

Charles received his education from Brinkley Public Schools. He was a proud graduate of Brinkley High School Class of 1975.

Charles was united in holy matrimony to La Cinda Brown on May 27, 1997.

For more than 25 years, he worked for the A.O. Smith Tower Automotive in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He had also previously worked for Prafke Brakes and Wisconsin Children's Hospital both located in Milwaukee.

His parents Charles William Sloan and Juanita and Luther Haskins proceeded him in death.

His survivors are wife Lu Cinda Sloan of Brinkley, AR; four sons: Kyle (Amanda) McDaniel, Charles Sloan and Quincy McDaniel all of Milwaukee, WI; and Avery Washington of Memphis, TN; a daughter Olivia Frost of Houston, TX; four grandchildren: Kaleb McDaniel, Korey McDaniel, Armon McDaniel, and Gabriel McDaniel all of Milwaukee, WI; three brothers; Pastor Tony (Doris) Haskins of Brinkley, AR; Kenneth Haskins of Benton, MO and Tyrone Haskins of Little Rock, AR; twelve sisters: Gloria Williams, Gelator Jackson, Betty Sloan, and Alfonsie Sloan all of Memphis, TN; Shirley Murry of Dallas, TX, Margie Haskins and Lucinda Haskins both of Orlando, FL; Earnestine Portwood and Emma Jean Butler both of Dallas TX, Mary Wilder of Milwaukee, WI; Mary Sloan of Brinkley, AR, Helen Bean of Atlanta, GA and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 15, at 2:00 PM at St. Paul Full Gospel Church, 409 North Emmons Ave in Brinkley with Pastor Tony Haskins serving as eulogist.
