Earnest Gene Dawson. Sr. 81, passed away on Saturday, January 25 in Clarendon.
Earnest was born on February 2, 1943, in Clarendon, Arkansas to Nesby Dawson and Melissa Cook.
Earnest attended the Clarendon Public School system.
While growing up in Clarendon, Earnest accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and attended member of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church.
After marrying his beloved wife, Mae Christine Williams, "Nook" as Earnest was affectionately known, relocated his family to Bolling Brook, Illinois where he lived and was employed with a local area Steel Mill as a laborer for 25 years.
His wife Mae Christine Dawson, his son Earnest Gene Dawson Jr. Private 1st class, his parents: Nesby and Melissa Dawson and several siblings preceded Earnest in death.
Survivors are his daughter Lisa (Michael) Mulcrone of Naperville, IL; two sisters: Johnnie B. (Leon) Miller of Clarendon, AR and Gloria (Glenn) Statewright of Aurora, CO and a host of other relatives and friends.
A public viewing will be held on Saturday, February 8 from 11AM until 12PM at CJ Williams Funeral Directors and Cremations Chapel, 124 S Main St, in Brinkley. Internment will be private by C.J.
