Earnestine Crenshaw, 72, of Cotton Plant passed away Friday March 7 at her home in Cotton Plant.

Earnestine was born on March 29, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri to Andrew Lewis and Ethel Mae Donald-Lewis.

Earnestine received her education from the Cotton Plant High School. She was a proud graduate of Cotton Plant High School Class of 1971.

Earnestine was a faithful Lifelong member of the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Cotton Plant. She was a member of the Morning Starlites Gospel Singers for more than 47 years.

Earnestine was united in holy matrimony to Arthur Crenshaw on March 28, 1991.

Penny, as Earnestine was affectionately known, was employed with the Van Heusen Shirt Company in Brinkley. She retired in 2019 after 24 years of dedicated and faithful service.

Her daughter: Lavonzella Ewan Jackson; her parents: Andrew and Ethel Mae Lewis; seven siblings: Melvin Lewis, Victor Lewis, Phyllis Barnes, Ronnie Lewis, Ralph Barnes, Jimmy Barnes and Denise Barnes all proceeded Earnestine in death.

Survivors are her husband of 34 years: Arthur Crenshaw of Cotton Plant, AR; five sons: Reginald (Cheir) Lewis of Dallas, TX; Lloyd (Tamika) Speed of Batesville, AR; Timothy Sellers and Arthur Sellers both of Russellville, AR and Anthony Chunn of Brinkley, AR; eleven grandchildren; five brothers: Ervin (Terri) Lewis Sr. of Cotton Plant, AR; Randy (Shirley) Barnes, Terry Barnes, Sidney Barnes and Andy Barnes all  of St. Louis, MO; three sisters: Darnetha (Arthur Sr.) Rodgers of Cotton Plant, AR, Teresa Frazier of Batesville, AR and Juanetta Gore and Elizabeth of St, Louis, MO and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday evening, March 15 from 5 PM until 7 PM at C.J. Williams Funeral Home Chapel, 124 South Main Avenue in Brinkley. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 16 at 11:00 AM at Brinkley Convention Center in Brinkley, 1501 Weatherby Drive in Brinkley with Elder Sylento Lewis serving as a eulogist.
