Elizabeth Stith, 67, of Conway, formerly of Howell, passed away on Sunday afternoon, November 12, at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock.
Elizabeth was born May 19, 1956, in Howell, Arkansas, to Ben Williams Sr. And Catherine Girnetha Riddle-Williams.
Elizabeth, also known as "Liz," was a lifelong member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Howell, where she served as a member of the Usher Board and church choir member.
Elizabeth received her formal education from the Cotton Plant Public School District in Cotton Plant, Arkansas. She is a graduate of Cotton Plant High School, class of 1974.
Elizabeth was employed as a dietary assistant with the Woodruff County Health Center in McCrory for more than 13 years before she retired in 2020. She worked for American Greetings for more than 25 years before it closed.
Elizabeth was united in holy matrimony to Louis Stith in 1984. They have spent nearly 40 years in marriage with their blended family.
Her parents, Ben Williams and Catherine Girnetha Williams, and three brothers, Robert Durham Jr., James Louis Durham, and Lindsey Durham, preceded Elizabeth in death.
Survivors are her husband of 39 years, Louis Stith of Conway, AR; three sons: Rodney (Terria) Doby Sr. of West Memphis, AR; Louis Stith Jr. and Antonio (Tonya) Stith both of St. Louis, MO; three daughters: Ronda Doby of Pine Bluff, AR; Sha'Londa Williams and La'Shonda Russell both of Conway, AR and LaQuisha Stith of St. Louis, MO; 22 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Earl (Samantha) Williams of Edmond, OK and Ben (Mashell) Williams Jr. of Houston, TX; Three surviving Aunts: Claudia Moore of Chicago, Ill, Cuemiah Jackson of Jacksonville, AR, Earnett Lewis of Dallas, TX and one uncle, Buford Riddle of Chicago, Ill, special friends: Rose Stovall, Carolyn Clark, Ella McFadden, Apostle Wanda Snyder, Josephine Bunch, Della Doss, Patrice Russell, Forestine Roddy; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning, November 18, at 10 AM at Ash Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 114 McMurtry Street in Cotton Plant, with Reverend Eddie Bunch Sr. officiating. Interment will take place at Morning Star Cemetery in Cotton Plant by C.J.
