Eric Darnell Scott, 39, of Des Arc, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, passed away Sunday April 16 in Des Arc.
Eric was born February 11, 1984 in Chicago, Illinois to Robert Scott and Joan M. Holloway-Scott.
Eric was a member of Christian Youth Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago, where he served as a former Junior Deacon, a member of the choir, a member of the Youth Council and an Usher.
Eric received his education from the Chicago Public Schools. He was a member of the 2004 graduating class of Richards High School in Chicago. He then went on to attend Job Corps in Memphis, Tennessee, where he received certification as a Fork-Lift Operator.
Since moving to Des Arc, a three years ago, Eric has been employed by Guess Candle Factory as a Fork-Lift Operator. He had formerly been employed with Ace Hardware in Chicago for more than 10 years.
His maternal grandparents: Doyle Holloway and Mae Bell Holloway; his paternal grandparents: Augusta Scott Sr. and Ida Scott; uncles: Lynn Holloway, Edward Scott and Reverend Augusta Scott Jr., and an aunt Mary Francis Holloway all preceded Eric in death.
Survivors are: three daughters: Sariah Scott, Aniah Scott and Riley Scott all of Chicago, Ill; his parents: Robert Scott of Chicago, Ill; and Joan Marie Scott of Des Arc, AR; his companion Sylvia Holmes of Des Arc, AR; his sisters Tiffany Holloway of Chicago, Ill and Erika Scott of Des Arc, AR; three nephews: Malik Smith and Ra'Shaad Smith both of Des Arc, AR; and Kolby Holloway of Chicago, Ill; his dear friend, former wife and mother of his children Tyisha Scott of Chicago, Ill; two uncles: Leonard (Stacey) Scott of Indianapolis, IN; and David Holloway of Hazen, AR; four aunts: Barbara Holloway of Des Arc, AR; Ann (Pastor Darcell) Morris, Barbara Jean Scott and Lodine Hunter all of Chicago, Ill; and a host of other relative and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 29 at Visitation 10 AM until 11 AM Funeral begins at 11 AM at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 209 East Clair Street in Des Arc with Reverend Russell Penn Jr. officiating. Chicago, Illinois services will be held on Saturday May 6; visitation from 10 AM until 11 AM.
