George Berry III, 62 of Brinkley, formerly of Texarkana (Sand Flat Community), passed away on Friday morning, January 5 at his home.
George was born June 2, 1961 in Texarkana, Arkansas to George Berry Jr. and Maude Turner-Berry.
George received his early education from the Texarkana Public Schools.
While growing up in Texarkana, Geroge and his family attended Miles Chapel CME Church, where he had remained a lifelong member.
George traveled the state while working for a Tree Service based out of Texarkana for more than 34 years before retiring due to ill health.
His son George Jackson, His parents, George Berry Jr and Maude Berry; and three brothers: Charles Berry, Robert Goza and James Berry all preceded George in death.
Survivors are: his daughter Katrena Gaither of Texarkana, AR; two grandsons: Torrean Gaither and Reginald Tye Runnels both of Texarkana, AR; two brothers: William Berry of Brinkley, AR; and Robert Berry of Texarkana, AR; his sister Evelyn Smith of Brinkley, AR; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 20 at 2:30 PM at the Brinkley Convention Center, 1501 Weatherby Drive in Brinkley with Reverend Willie Shelton officiating. Interment will take place at Brinkley Memorial Park Cemetery in Brinkley by C.J.
