Guy Elvin Allen Jr., 83, passed away on Thursday, January 30 at Infinity Home Hospice in Las Vegas.
Guy was born on May 21, 1941 in Moro, Arkansas to Guy Elvin Allen Sr. and Amanzie Walker-Allen.
Guy was a Moton High School graduate of 1960 in Marianna, Arkansas. He later went to college and received his associate's degree.
Guy was a lifelong member of the Mount Mariah Missionary Baptist Church in Oak Forrest, AR.
Guy was united in holy matrimony to Deborah L. Butler in 2003.
Guy was employed by the Clark County School District for 30 years and he retired in 2003.
Guy enlisted into the United States Army in 1967 and served in Vietnam for which he received an honorable discharge.
His parents Guy Allen Sr. and Amanzie Walker-Allen; his siblings: Verneda Allen-Daniels, Nathan Allen, Barbara Allen, and David Allen; and one grandson: Demetrias Mitchell proceeded Guy in death.
Survivors are: his wife Deborah Allen of Las Vegas, NV; two sons: Pascal Butler of Philadelphia. PA, and Shawn (Kimberly) Butler of Sacramento, CA; step-son: Dwayne Murray of Las Vegas, NV; two daughters: Wanda Staton of Denver, CO and Christinea Butler of Seattle, WA; 12 grandchildren: Tenika (Mitchell Sr.) Fowler, Natasha Staton, Daja Gulley, Mitchell Fowler Jr., Maki Fowler, Shamere Carter, Halsten Carter, Demeryus Weston, Jadin Anderson, Jaquan Butler, Joshua Butler, Jacelle Anderson: one great grandson: Jaiden Combs; five brothers: Willie Allen, William (Evelyn) Allen, Anthony Allen, Carl Kell, and Calvin Kell all of Little Rock, AR; four sisters: Mary Rachel of Oak Lawn, IL, Larcenia (Willie) Hall, Treniece Moore, and Tamaiki Winston all of Little Rock, AR and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning February 11 at 11:00 am at King Solomon Baptist Church, 1304 N. Pine Street in North Little Rock, AR with Reverend Henry Walker IV serving as eulogist. Internment will take place on Wednesday, February 12, at 11:00 AM at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W Maryland Avenue, North Little Rock by C.J.
