Jay Kwame' Briscoe

Jay Kwame' Briscoe, 30 passed away on Sunday, April 9, at NEA Baptist Medical Center in Jonesboro .

Kwame' was born August 16, 1992 in Searcy, Arkansas to Jay Edward Briscoe Sr. and Evangela Shantel Tatum.

Kwame' was baptized at and a lifelong member of St Luke Missionary Baptist Church Augusta.

Kwame' received his formal education at Augusta Public school district. He was a 2010 graduate of Augusta High School. He went on to continue his education by attending the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff for two years.

Kwame' was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Cottage Lane Healthcare Center in Little Rock, for more than five years.

His paternal grandfather Marion Tatum and maternal great grandmother Frances Tatum both preceded Kwame' in death.

Survivors are: His parents Jay Edward Briscoe Sr. of Kansas City, MO and Evangela Shantel Tatum of Augusta, AR; six brothers: Lorenzo Pryor III of West Palm Beach Fl; Jamone Briscoe of Las Vegas NV; Jay Edward Briscoe Jr. , Derron Trent, Markevian Cornelius and Jajuan Maxwell all of Kansas City, MO; four sisters: Martisia Tatum of Houston, TX; Torrie Briscoe of Kansas City, MO; Keanndre Gregg of Dallas, TX; and Jetoya Briscoe of Los Angeles, CA; maternal grandmother Dorcy (Thomas) Biggers of Augusta; AR paternal grandparents: Ferdis Briscoe and Imogene Briscoe of Kansas City, MO; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 16 at 2:00 PM at St Luke Missionary Baptist Church, 422 Mulberry Street in Augusta with Reverend Jesse Booker officiating.
