Leona Marie Lowe

Leona Marie Lowe, 69 of Jacksonville, formerly of Brinkley, passed away on Saturday evening, February 24 at Arkansas Hospice Center in Little Rock.

Leona was born January 6, 1955 in Brinkley, Arkansas to Williams Marshall Sr. and Lorine Hubbard-Marshall. She was the only daughter born to this union of four children.

Leona was raised in Fargo Community. She attended school at the Brinkley Public School System.

While growing up in the Fargo Community, Leona and her family attended Union Missionary Baptist Church.

Leona was united in holy matrimony to James Lowe in 1973. To this union two children were born. Although the marriage ended, the two remained good friends, Co-parents and Co-grandparents.

Leona was always a very hard-working individual. She worked for several years for a local Janitorial Company in Jacksonville and Little Rock before her health began to fail. She had also previously been employed by Timex in Little Rock.

Her parents: Williams Marshall Sr. and Lorine Marshall; three brothers: Julius Hudson, William Marshall Jr. and Perry Marshall all preceded Leona in death.

Survivors are: her son Ken (Shavon) Lowe Sr. of Brinkley, AR; two daughters: Jacqueline Marshall of Jacksonville, AR and Monica (Walter) Crockran of North Little Rock, AR; eleven grandchildren: Demarshun (Ashley) Lowe-Jacksonville, AR; Destinee Marshall- Jacksonville, AR; Kentrez Lowe of Rogers, AR; Darkareous Brown of Conway, AR; Derion Crockran of Jacksonville, AR; Shmon Crockran of Norfolk, VA; Ken Lowe Jr. of Brinkley, AR; Kenzley Lowe of Brinkley, AR; Richard Crockran of North Little Rock, AR; Kayden Lowe of Brinkley, AR; Kendall Lowe of Brinkley, AR; eight great children and sister in law Tawana Marshall of North Little Rock, AR; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 3 at 2 PM at the Brinkley Convention Center, 1501 Weatherby Drive in Brinkley with Reverend Lamont Swanigan officiating. Interment will take place at Macedonia Cemetery in Fargo by C.J.
