Mary Jo Love-Jackson, 61 of Searcy, formerly of Cotton Plant, passed away on Saturday morning, November 9 at Unity Health Medical Center in Searcy.

Mary Jo was born December 17, 1962 in Brinkley, Arkansas to Clarence Love Sr. and Lula Mae Cohen-Love.

Growing up in Cotton Plant, Mary Jo received her education front the Cotton Plant Public School System. She was a member of the Cotton Plant High School class of 1982.

Mary Jo was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church- James Addition in Cotton Plant, where she was baptized as a child.

Mary Jo was a former employee of Publix Food Stores in Atlanta, where she worked as a Deli Manager for many years before retiring in 2011 and returning home to Cotton Plant. For more than 20 years she worked in the retail and service industries.

Mary Jo was united in holy matrimony to Jimmie Lee Jackson Sr. in November 17, 2015.

Her parents: Clarence Love Sr. and Lula Mae Love; her brother Jesse Curlett and a sister Patricia Cohen all preceded Mary Jo in death.

Survivors are: Her husband Jimmie Jackson Sr. of Kansas City, MO; her son Fred Washington Jr. of East Fulton, GA; her daughter Princess Washington of Searcy, AR; two grandsons: Kelton Washington of Lincoln, AL and Linares Washington of Searcy, AR; her step-father Robert Jones Sr. of Cotton Plant, AR; brothers: Clarence (Racquel) Love Jr. of Apple Valley, CA; Rickey Love Sr. of Batesville, AR; Gary (Mattie) Jones and Robert (Marlene) Jones Jr. both of Cotton Plant, AR; sisters: Lisa Love of Cotton Plant, AR and Janice (Tracy) Love and Tammy Love both of Covington, GA; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 16 from 1 PM until 4 PM at C.J. Williams Funeral Directors Chapel, 124 South Main Avenue in Brinkley. Internment will be private by C.J.
