Montreal Deon Cox

Montreal Deon Cox 31, of Clarendon passed away on Thursday June 8, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.

Montreal was born September 14, 1991, in Stuttgart, Arkansas to Almetrice Cox and Carl Swift.

Montreal was a member of Kingdom Builders Ministries of Holly Grove for more than 18 years. Growing up, he and his family attended St. Paul AME Church.

Montreal received his formal education at Holly Grove and Clarendon Public Schools, where he was involved in sports and other extra-curricular activities. He was a 2009 graduate of Clarendon High School.

Montreal was employed in Construction. He worked for a couple of construction companies over the years. He had previously been employed off and on with Bellville Shoe manufacturing in Dewitt, Arkansas.

His brother Courtney Davis, grandparents: Almeta Cox and Henry Cox Jr., great grandparents: Henry Cox Sr. and Cheney Langston all preceded Montreal in death.

Survivors are one son: Montreal Deon Cox Jr. of Stuttgart, AR; two daughter: Kaniya Hudson and Tyanna Hudson both of Stuttgart, AR; his mother Almetrice (Gayle) Cox of Holly Grove, AR; his companion Iesha Hudson of Stuttgart, AR; his maternal grandmother Ruby Smith of Holly Grove, AR; two brothers: Elijah Davey and Rickey Davey both of Little Rock, AR; three sisters: Shawndria "Lucy" Beard of Holly Grove, AR; Neisha (Bobby) Burnett of Brinkley, AR; Sasha Davey of Little Rock, AR a special aunt Dina Smith of North Little Rock, AR; and a special uncle Marques Cox of Chicago, Ill; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 24, at 2:30 P.M. at the Kingdom Builders Ministries 400 North Pine Street in Holly Grove with Pastor Adrian Tabb officiating.
