Napoleon Floyd Hollister

Napoleon Floyd Hollister, 75 of Belton, Missouri formerly of Fargo, passed away on Thursday, November 9th at his daughters home following a brief illness.

Napoleon was born December 27, 1947 in Fargo, Arkansas to Major Hollister Sr. and Leola Marshall-Hollister.

While growing up in the Fargo Community, Napoleon and his family attended Union Missionary Baptist Church.

A product of the Brinkley Public Schools, Napoleon graduated Marian Anderson High School in 1965.

After graduating high school, Napoleon was drafted into the United State Army. He served for 4 years and received a honorable discharge in 1969, after having served in Vietnam.

Napoleon was a former employee of AARCO Steel Company in Kansas City for more than 31 years. He retired in 2010.

Napoleon was united in holy matrimony to Bernadine Johnson on October 22, 1974.

His parents: Major Hollister Sr. and Leola Hollister: five brothers: Don Hollister, Marshall Hollister, Robert Hollister, Charles Hollister Sr. and Joseph Hollister Sr., and a sister: Carlene Hollister all preceded Napoleon in death.

Survivors are: his wife of 49 years Bernadine Hollister of Belton, MO; five sons: Hosea Hollister, Darrell Hollister and Edward Hollister all of Grand View, MO; Wendel (Leah) Hollister of Kansas City, MO and CJ Hollister of Belton, MO; his daughter Keke Hollister on Belton, MO; eight grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; five brothers: Major (Brenda) Hollister Jr. of Atlanta, GA; Curtis (Denise) Chunn, Leonard Hollister and Wallace Hollister all of Fargo, AR; and Oliver Hollister of North Little Rock, AR; three sisters: Leanette (James) Brown of Fargo, AR; Sharon Hollister of Dallas, TX and Beverly (Carl) Sanders of Shreveport, LA and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 25 at 10 AM the Brinkley Convention Center, 1501 Weatherby Drive in Brinkley with Reverend Larry Daniels officiating. Interment will be at Macedonia Cemetery in Fargo by C.J.
