Neail Shepheard, 86 of Palestine passed away on Sunday July 9 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro.
Neail was born March 8, 1937 in Round Pond, Arkansas to William Shepherd and Beatrice Johnson-Shepherd.
During her early years Neail and her family relocated to Palestine, Arkansas, where they attended Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.
Neail received her education from the Palestine Public Schools.
Neail was a homemaker. She enjoyed the country life raising livestock (Chickens and Hogs) and raising a flower and vegetable garden. She enjoyed taking care of family and living a simple and uncomplicated country life.
Her parents: William and Beatrice Shepherd, a brother A.C. Shepherd and two sisters: Lillie Mae Shepherd and Odessia Stidum all preceded Neail in death.
Survivors are her brother: Marvin Shepherd of Memphis TN; two sisters: Alverines Gilbert and Mattie Shepherd both of Memphis, TN; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held on Friday evening July 21, from 6 until 8 PM at C.J. Williams Funeral Directors and Cremations, 124 South Main Avenue in Brinkley. Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning July 22, at 10 A.M. at the Brinkley Convention Center, 1501 Weatherby Drive in Brinkley with Pastor Marcus Harris officiating. Interment will take place at Casteel Cemetery in Forrest City by C.J. Williams Funeral Directors and Cremations of Brinkley (870) 589-5036.
