Ollie Mae Adell-Davis, 75 of Brinkley, passed away on Sunday, September 17 at Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock.

Ollie was born March 24, 1948 in Brinkley, Arkansas to Herman Adell Sr. and Ollie Mae Crawford-Adell.

"Mae-Mae" or "Frog" as Ollie was affectionately known by many, was a lifelong member of Mount Olive Ministries (formerly Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church) in Brinkley, where she had previously served on the Usher Board and as a fill in Sunday School teacher.

Ollie received her formal education from the Brinkley Public Schools. She was a 1967 graduate of Marian Anderson High School. She went on to attend AM&N College in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She received her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Elementary Education as a part of the first graduating class of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Class of 1972.

Ollie began her career in education at the Brinkley Public Schools, when she began working as a Teacher's Aide from (1975-1986). After she received certification as a licensed teacher, she went on to teach her first years at C.V. White Elementary School in Lakeview, Arkansas (1987-1990). She then went on to teach at the Holly Grove Public Schools/Holly Grove Elementary School from (1990-1996). She finished her teaching career at the Cotton Plant Public School/Cotton Plant Elementary School from (1996-2012), when she retired. After retirement, she went on to start substitute teaching for Brinkley and other surrounding school districts until her passing.

She was a former member of the local White Rose Club of Brinkley; former member of the Arkansas Education Association and a former member of the National Education Association.

Ollie was united in holy matrimony to Alonzo James Davis in 1986.

Her husband, her parents: Herman and Ollie Adell Sr.; seven brothers: Clarence Adell, Charlie Adell, Herman Adell Jr., Louis Adell, Benford Adell, Buford Adell and Gary Adell; and two sisters: Carrie Hardin and Marilyn Foster all preceded Ollie Mae in death.

Survivors are: two sons: Greg Adell of Brinkley, AR; and Cooper Brandon (Karen) Adell of Bryant, AR; three grandchildren: Ashleigh Adell and Brandon Cooper Adell of Bryant, AR; and Rashwan Fears of Malvern, AR; extended family: Rachel Green of Brinkley, AR Bryant (Lorraine) Davis of Wheatley, AR; Robert Davis of Dallas, TX and Alan (Billie) Davis of Brinkley, AR; Herman Hill Jr., Karen Hill and Melanie Hill all of Detroit, MI; three brothers: Riley Franklin Adell, Michael Adell and Oliver Wayne Adell all of Brinkley, AR; five sisters: Barbara Chunn, Evelyn Adell, Cheryl Burnett and Carolyn Dillard all of Brinkley, AR; and Mary Beth (Jeff, Sr.) Hudson of Little Rock, AR; a brother in law Warren Foster Sr. of Flint, MI; a sister in law Nancy Adell of Forrest City, AR; extended family and friends she loved dearly: Cleo Williams of Helena, AR; Mary Louise Teague Hill, Sandra K. Teague, Inez Cathron and C.J. Williams all of Brinkley, AR; Linder (Elo) Anderson, Dannis Veasley and Linda Blue all of Cotton Plant, AR; Inez Shackelford of Jericho, AR; Catherine Johnson of Pleasant Valley, AR; Yvonne Alexander-Washington of Little Rock, AR and Barbara Adams-Davis of Pine Bluff, AR; and a host of other relatives.

A visitation will be held on Friday evening, September 22 from 5 until 7 PM at Mount of Olive Ministries, 1200 North Main Street Extended in Brinkley. Funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon, September 23 at 3 PM at Mount Olive Ministries in Brinkley with Reverend Theodis Cochran officiating. Interment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery, East Maple Street in Brinkley by C.J.
