Pearline "Doll" Whitfield-Lowery 91 of North Little Rock, formerly of Poplar Grove passed on Thursday, April 18th, 2024, at Baptist Health Medical Center, North Little Rock, Arkansas.
Pearline was born January 14th, 1933, in Marvell, Arkansas to Mamon Whitfield and Samella Whitaker. She attended and graduated from Mount Shelby High School, Marvell in 1951.
Pearline "Doll" was baptized July 19, 1945, at Mount Shelby Missionary Baptist Church Marvell, AR where she would serve on the Usher Board.
In 1953 "Doll" moved to Cleveland Ohio and would join Gethsemane Baptist Church Cleveland, Ohio, where she would serve on the Usher Board and the Kitchen Committee. She also served as Bethlehem District Usher for seventeen years.
Doll married W.T. Lowery in 1995 and in 1997 they relocated to Poplar Grove, Arkansas.
Doll loved card and Tupperware parties, listening to gospel and blues music, watching basketball and football ( Cleveland Cavilers and the Cleveland Browns fan), and taking short trips.
Her husband William T. Lowery; parents: Samella Whitaker Burton and Mamon Whitfield, stepmother Earmine Lee Whitfield, grandson Raymond Anthony Whitfield; stepson William T. Lowery Jr.; brothers: Fred Whitfield, Joe Whitfield, Walter Whitfield, Herman Whitfield, Demetrius Whitfield, and Lloyd Carter; sisters: Lenora Whitfield and Freddie Whitfield-Hemphill all preceded her in death.
Survivors are daughter: VaNessa Whitfield of North Little Lock, AR; her brothers: Mamon (Kim) Whitfield, Earnest Whitfield, Arthur (Nadine) Whitfield and Berdell Whitfield all of Kalamazoo, MI.; her sisters: Isabelle Whitfield, Jessie Whitfield, Jacqueline Moorehead, Addie Whitfield and Kathy Whitfield all of Kalamazoo, MI.; Godchildren: Mattie (Cornelious) Jones-Hopes, Stanton, CA; Prytha Hawkins, Cephus (Loretta) Yancy and Gardett Jones of Cleveland, OH; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday April 27th at 10:00 AM at Mount Shelby Missionary Baptist Church, 2021 Phillips 604 Road in Marvell.
