Robert Lee Stewart

Robert Lee Stewart 81 of Clarendon, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday May 3, at Helena Regional Medical Center in Helena, Arkansas.

Robert was born on May 17, 1941, in Holly Grove, Arkansas to Edgar Doll Stewart and Mildred Cartwright.

Robert was a member of First Baptist Church in Holly Grove under the leadership of Reverend Ronald Laraunt. He had previously been a member of St. John MB Church in Holly Grove.

Robert attended high school at Holly Grove Public School System.

Robert was employed by the Culp Farms of Marvell for more than 6 years. He was formerly employed with Hugh Bonner Farms of Turner.

Robert was united in holy matrimony to Irene Murray.

His son Alvin Stewart; parents Edgar Doll Stewart and Mildred Cartwright; two siblings: Forest Robinson and Louis Franklin Stewart all preceded Robert in death.

Survivors are his wife of 40 years Irene Murray-Stewart of Clarendon, AR; four sons: Derrick Stewart of Clarendon, AR; Larry Murray of Clarendon, AR; James Murray of Holly Grove, AR; and Anthony Stewart of Dallas, TX; two daughters: Harriet Stewart of Clarendon, AR; Angela Stewart of Clarendon, AR; Jeanette Claycomb and  Ethel Parker both of Lewisville, IN; Janice Stewart of Dallas; TX, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers-in-law: Larry (Early Mae) Murray of Clarendon, AR and Willie Murray of Marvell, AR and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be on Saturday May 13 at 11:00 A.M. at Clarendon/Holly Grove Auditorium 320 North 7th Street, Clarendon Arkansas with Reverend Reggie Rose officiating.
