Rona Lynn Pearson

Rona Lynn Pearson, 53, of Ellenwood, Georgia formerly of Brinkley passed away on Monday, October 7 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

Rona was born on November 24, 1970, to William McMillion and Cloteen Ellison-McMillion.

Rona received her education from the Brinkley High School District. She was a graduate of Brinkley High School class of 1990. She later went to the enroll at Arkansas State University. graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts in Social Work in 2005.

While growing up in Brinkley, Rona was a member of First Baptist Church in Wheatley, Arkansas. Since her illness she attended church mostly online.

Rona was united in holy matrimony to Gahaza Pearson Jr. on August 4, 1994. To this union two beautiful daughters were born.

Rona worked as a Social Worker with Imperial Healthcare in Georgia for more than 6 years before her health began to fail.

Her father: William McMillion; her brother: Terry McMillion; and her paternal grandparents: Odom and Janie McMillion and maternal grandparents: Marie Ellison and Mac Mitchell all proceeded Rona in death.

Survivors are her: husband Gahaza Pearson Jr. of Ellenwood, GA; her two daughters: Sydney Pearson and Daelyn Pearson both of Ellenwood, GA; her mother: Cloteen McMillion of Ellenwood, GA; two brothers: Aaron (Tonika) McMillion of Conyers, GA and Leon McMillion of Jacksonville, FL; two sisters: Bertha (Curtis) Burnett of Brinkley, AR and Tawanna (Joseph) Robertson of Ellenwood, GA and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 25 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, 124 South Main Avenue in Brinkley. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 26 at 10:00 AM at the Wheatley Civic Center, 934 North 8th Streetin Wheatley with Reverend Franklin McMillion serving as Eulogist.
