Shelia Ann Larry-Glass

Shelia Ann Larry-Glass, 57, of West Helena passed away on Thursday, April 3 at her home in West Helena following a brief illness.

Shelia was born on August 19, 1967 in Marianna, Arkansas to J.L. Larry Sr. and Verlene Jackson-Larry.

Shelia was a member of God's House of Prayer in Moro under the leadership of Bishop Michael Thomas for more than 15 years. She had formerly been a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Moro, Arkansas under the leadership of the late Spencer Brown.

Shelia received her education from Lee Senior High School in Marianna. She was a proud graduate of Lee Senior High School Class of 1985. She went to attend the West Memphis Cosmetology School in 1995.

Shelia was united in holy matrimony to Edward Peter Glass on June 6, 2008 he preceded her in death in 2019.

In her earlier years, "Sheila the Mosquito" as she was affectionately known, was employed as a certified nursing aid at the Springs of Brinkley, Helena Regional Medical Center in Helena and Crest Park Retirement home in Stuttgart. She had also previously been employed by D&L industries in Marianna, Arkansas and Lennox Industries in Stuttgart, Arkansas.

Her spouse of Edward Peter Glass; two grandchildren: Jevonta McGoy and Jelexus McGoy; J.L. Larry Sr. and Verlene Larry; two brothers: Tracy Larry and Barry Griffin: and a beloved dog Pixie all preceded Shelia in death.

Survivors are: four daughters: Alsenuria (Richard Odle) Turner of Springdale, AR; Wilshina (Ashley) Franks of Denton, TX; Shelith Franks of Rochester, NY; and Lanisha (Luke) Harvey of West Helena, AR; two sons: William Franks Jr. of Little Rock, AR and Marcus Green of West Helena, AR; twelve grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; two brothers: J.L. (Lynn) Larry Jr. of Bentonville, AR; and Barry (Sandra) Larry of Brinkley, AR; four sisters: Carolyn (Eddie) Hicks of Maumelle, AR; Diane (Ronald) Goodrich of St. Louis, MO; Rosie (Timothy) Palmer of Brinkley, AR and Chrystal Larry of North Little Rock, AR and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 19, at 2:30 PM at St. Paul Full Gospel Church, 409 North Emmons Avenue in Brinkley with Bishop Michael Thomas serving as the eulogist.
