Earnest Lee Piggee, 72 of Clarendon, passed away on Wednesday March 6 at Crest park of Stuttgart.
Earnest was born December 1, 1951 in Monroe, Arkansas to Robert Lee Piggee and Novella Flowers. He was reared by his maternal grandparents, Joe and Earnestine Flowers.
As a child, Earnest was a member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Monroe.
Earnest received his education from the Clarendon Public Schools. He was a 1969 graduate of George Washington Carver High School in Clarendon.
Earnest was self-employed as a skilled Carpenter for more than 30 years.
His parents Robert L. Piggee and Novella Flowers-Pittman; his maternal grandparents: Joe Flowers and Earnestine Flowers and a sister Betty Davey all preceded Earnest in death.
Survivors are: his two sons: Brodrick Piggee and Braxton Piggee both of Fayetteville, AR; his daughter Alexis Broox Piggee of Fayetteville, AR; three brothers: Cleophus (Rose) Davey of Urbana, IL; Tony (Carolyn) Harvey of Huntsville, AL; Willie (Lisa) Harvey of Clarendon, AR; two sisters: Cynthia Harvey of Urbana, IL and Cleester Harvey of Champaign, IL; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 23 at 11 AM at Baptist Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Highway 302 in Clarendon with Reverend Willie Gilmore officiating.
