Sylvia Fayrene Stephens

Sylvia Fayrene Stephens, 81, of Clarendon, formerly of Holly Grove passed away on Sunday, February 23 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.

Sylvia was born on May 22, 1943, in Holly Grive, Arkansas to Woodrow Hill Sr. and Naomi Black-Hill.

Sylvia was united in holy matrimony to James Harold Stephens from August 7, 1960. To this union three children were born.

"Mamaw" as she was affectionately known by the community, was employed by USDA for 24 years as an Agricultural Surveyor. She had previously been employed as a secretary for 26 years at the Holly Grove School District in Holly Grove.

Her two grandchildren Kireston Stephens-Spencer and Dee James Stephens, her parents: Woodrow Hill and Naomi Hill and two siblings: Woodrow Hill Jr. and Marie Hill-Smith all proceeded Sylvia in death.

Her survivors are: three sons: Henry (Sheila) Stephens of Dewitt, AR; Donnie (Denise) Stephens of Clarendon, AR and Michael (Ellen) Stephens of Ulm, AR; a daughter April Stephens of Clarendon, AR; six grandchildren: Elizabeth (Allan) Spencer of Clarendon, AR; Heather Stephens of Stuttgart, AR; Henry "AJ" Stephens Jr. of Dewitt, AR; Jimmy Stephens of Stuttgart, AR; Justin Stephens of Lonoke, AR and Cortiny Good of Stuttgart, AR; ten great grandchildren: Michael Stephens Jr of Ulm, AR; Addison Spencer of Clarendon, AR; Aubrey Spencer of Clarendon, AR; Gage Stephens of Ulm, AR; Aiden Spencer of Clarendon, AR; Asher Spencer of Clarendon, AR; and Milan Stephens of Ulm, AR; Kasie Ward of Stuttgart, AR; Halen Earls of Ulm, AR; and Drake Ward of Clarendon, AR; two great-great grandchildren: Kylie and Kalahni Daniels of Ulm, AR and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 26 at 2:00 PM at Franks Cemetery, Highway 17 and Franks Cemetery Road in Holly Grove with Bro.
