Timothy Lee Austin

Timothy Lee Austin, 73 of Stuttgart, passed away on Monday morning, January 6 at his home following a lengthy illness.

Timothy or “Tim” as he was lovingly known was born November 19, 1951 in Humphrey, Arkansas to Herman Austin and Herlon Foster.

Tim received his education from the Stuttgart Public School System.

Tim was united in holy matrimony to Gloria Qualls in 1972.

Timothy was employed as a truck driver for Riceland, Tyson and Ken/Reg for many years until his heath declined.

His son Timmie Austin Sr., his parents: Herman Austin and Herlon Foster-Stiger and Charlie Stiger; his sister Sherry Austin all preceded Tim in death.

Survivors are his wife of 53 years Gloria Austin of Stuttgart, AR; two son: Dahron Austin of Stuttgart, AR and Lester (Michelle) Qualls of Pine Bluff, AR; his daughter Tammie (Johnny) Bonner of Hampton GA; ten grandchildren Joshua Brown, Lester Qualls Jr., Lesly Qualls, Alexis Williams, JanBre’A Kemp, Allawiches Austin, Akelia Creggett, Timmie Austin, Isaiah Austin and Cody Austin and 14 great grandchildren; a brother Roy Austin of Benton, AR; four sisters: Mary Sanders and Carolyn Wright-Thomas both of Little Rock AR; Alice Wood of Sherwood, AR; and Joyce Propps of Stuttgart, AR and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday evening, January 10 from 6 until 7 PM at C.J Williams Funeral Director Chapel, 206 West Washington in Stuttgart. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 11 at 11 AM at Victor’s Empowerment Center, 802 North College Street in Stuttgart with Reverend Rodney Henderson Sr serving as eulogist. Interment will take place at Bayou Meto Cemetery in Humphrey by C.J.
