Tonya Shanta Robinson

Tonya Shanta Robinson, 46, of Des Arc, passed away on Sunday, August 4, at her home.

Tonya was born on December 6,1977, in Searcy, Arkansas to Welton Earl Robinson and May Ann McGee-Robinson.

Tonya received her education from the Des Arc High School District. She was a 1996 graduate of Des Arc High School. While in high school, she was known as a basketball star and was very active on other school extra-curricular activities.

In her earlier years, Tonya was a member of Riverside Church of God in Christ in Des Arc, Arkansas.

Tonya or "Bean" as she was affectionately known was employed by Remington Arms Ammunition Plant in Lonoke for more than 20 years. She had previously been employed by Home Health Care for two years as well as Mabeline for several years.

Her son DaNerryen A. Spencer; her maternal grandparents; Retha McGee and George McGee; and paternal grandparents; Walter Robinson and Sadie Robinson, all proceeded Tonya in death.

Survivors are her: son Daviyon Bell of Des Arc, AR: one grandchild; Monroe McAdoo of Brinkley, AR; parents: Welton Robinson and Mary Ann Robinson both of Des Arc, AR; one brother: Corey Robinson of Des Arc, AR; one sister: Shaneigh Robinson of Sherwood, AR and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 209 East Clair Street in Des Arc with Minister Welton Robinson officiating. Internment will be private.

Pallbearers are Chris Berry, Donald McCoy, Eric Williams, Malik Griffin, Shaquille Mosby, Gerald Young, and DeAngelo Robinson.
