Vickie Hood

Vickie Hood, 68, of Hickory Plains passed on Wednesday May 29th at Chambers Nursing Home Center Carlisle, Arkansas.

Vickie was born September 12th, 1955, in Hickory Plains, Arkansas to Marion Hood and Erma Bradley-Hood.

Vickie received his education from the Des Arc Public Schools. He went to attend Des Arc High School graduating with the class of 1974.

Vickie was a lifelong member of Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church Hickory Plains, Arkansas.

"Tiger" as Vickie was lovingly known, enjoyed hanging with his family, and friends, listening to music, fishing, farming, mechanic work, and watching westerns. He was a laid-back, low-key type of guy.

Vickie was employed as a farm laborer for Bobby Bell Farms for over 35 years and retired in 2014 due to health issues.

His son: Brandon Tyre Hood, parents: Marion Hood, Erma Bradley Hood, and brother: Yeldar Hood preceded Vickie in death.

Survivors are: wife: Mary Ann Hood of Hickory Plains, AR; sons: Lucas (Stephanie) Hood of Joplin, MO and Bradley Hood of Hickory Plains, AR; daughters: Dwana Hood of Cabot, AR and Alicia (Kameron) Dale of Little Rock, AR; grandchildren: Javeaon Hall, Kyla Dale both of Little Rock, AR; Makaja Robinson of Beebe, AR; Brenndyn Hood of Hickory Plains, AR; Braxton Brown and Bryleigh Brown both of Ward, AR; Kaidynce Wyatt of Des Arc, AR and Anniyah Hood of Prairie Grove, AR; his sister: Jewel Stephenson of Jacksonville, AR; sister in law: Wella Hood of Jacksonville, AR; dear friends: Thornell Williams and Bobby Jackson both of Des Arc, AR and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday June 9th at 2:00 PM at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 209 East Clair Street in Des Arc with Reverend Russell Penn Jr. officiating. Interment will be at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Hickory Plains by CJ Williams Funeral Directors and Cremations, 124 S.
