Wallace Allen, 77 of Biscoe, passed away on Thursday afternoon, November 23 at his home.
Wallace was born September 26, 1946 in Biscoe, Arkansas to John Allen Jr. and Charlie B. Pinkney-Allen.
During his early years, Wallace attended church at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Biscoe (Upper Hill Community).
Wallace received his education from the Biscoe Public Schools.
In 1967, Wallace was drafted into the United States Army, where he served in the Vietnam War. He received an honorable discharge in 1969.
After returning home, Wallace went to work as a Truck Driver. He worked for several companies through the course of more than 30 years: JB Hunt, Ryder and JB McAdams trucking companies. After his trucking career ended he went to work on the railroad with Missouri Pacific Railroad and worked for more than 10 years before retiring.
Wallace enjoyed a quaint simple country life. He had a passion for gardening, particularly raising watermelons.
His parents: John Allen Sr. & Charlie B. Allen; two brothers: John D. Allen and Jimmy Allen; a sister Billie Jean Allen; two nephews: Michael Allen and Rodney Allen all preceded Wallace in death.
Survivors are: Three brothers: Perry (Opal) Allen and Charles Allen both of Biscoe, AR; and Jeffery Allen of Little Rock, AR; two sisters; Jackie (Raymond Sr.) Baltimore and Arlene (Roy) Roland both of Little Rock, AR; a sister-in-law Ola Mae Allen of Little Rock, AR and a host of nephews, nieces, cousin and friends.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 2 at 11 AM at St. Paul Upper Hill Cemetery, Saxton Road in Biscoe by C.J. Williams Funeral Directors and Cremations of Brinkley (870) 589-5036 email: williamsfuneraldirectors2022@gmail.com
Pallbearers are: Charles Allen, Billy Allen, Jeff Allen, Raymond Baltimore Sr., Raymond Baltimore Jr., Chris Allen, Andy Saxton and Lee Edward Jones.
