Warren Picken Miller Jr.

Warren Picken Miller Jr. 61, of Jacksonville, formerly of Cotton Plant, passed away on Monday morning, June 26 at Unity Health Medical Center in Jacksonville.

"Randy" as Warren was lovingly known, was born June 24, 1962 in Brinkley, Arkansas to Warren P. Miller Sr. and Joann Smith-Miller. He was one of 3 children born to this union.

Randy received his education from the Cotton Plant Public School System. He was a 1981 graduate of Cotton Plant High School. He went on to attend the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff for 1 year.

Randy was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church-James Addition in Cotton Plant, where he was baptized under the leadership of Reverend Hodges Stewart.

Before his illness, Randy had worked as a Truck Driver for many years for Keevil Trucking of Brinkley. He had previously worked as a Chef for many years while living in Fayetteville, Arkansas (2 years) and General Motors Corporation in Plano, Texas (3 years).

His father Warren P. Miller Sr., his niece Veronica Freeman and a nephew Warren Alexander Freeman Jr. all preceded Randy in death.

Survivors are: two sons: Demetrius Miller of Plano, TX and Tyrae Miller of Cypress, TX; his daughter Tatianna Miller of Cypress, TX; his mother Joann Smith-Miller of Jacksonville, AR; three sisters: Valeria Freeman of Jacksonville, AR; Marva (Richard) Stearns of Killeen, TX and Rhonda (Terrance) Williams of Mesquite, TX; his special aunt/aka Big Granny Katheron Earnestine Palmer of Cotton Plant, AR; special friends: Onone Honey of Lonoke, AR; Mikayla Clay of Sherwood, AR; Godfrey McWilliams Sr. of Minneapolis, MN and Richard Bryson Jr. of Cotton Plant, AR; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday evening, July 8 from 6 until 8 PM at First Baptist Church-James Addition, 178 McGowan Street in Cotton Plant.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon, July 9 at 2 PM at the Brinkley Convention Center, 1501 Weatherby Drive in Brinkley with Reverend Michael Brown officiating. Interment will take place at Morning Star Cemetery in Cotton Plant by C.J.
