Willie B Gibbs Jr.

Willie B. "Red" Gibbs Jr. 52 of Augusta passed away on Wednesday May 1 at his home in Augusta.

Willie B. was born March 19, 1972, in McCrory, Arkansas to Willie B. Gibbs Sr., and Helen Louise Green-Gibbs.

Willie "Red" received he education from the Augusta High School in 1990 and went on to attend Job Corps in San Marcos Texas for Aviation Training.

Since Returning to Arkansas to live in 2022, Redd as Willie was affectionately known, began attending Holy Ghost Academy Church of God in Christ in Augusta.

Red was employed as a bus driver for the Augusta School District, a public Transportation Driver in Austin Texas for over 10 years and was an over the road long distance truck driving for over 25 years.

Willie B. "Redd" was united in marriage to Germaine Dorsey-Gibbs on June 18, 2016.

His parents Willie B Gibbs Sr. and Helen Green-Gibbs; sisters: Beverly Hernton, Evelyn Gibbs, Victoria Gibbs preceded him in death.

Survivors are his wife, Germaine Gibbs of New Castle, DE; sons: Willie B. Gibbs III of Plummerville, AR, and Myles Gibbs of Austin, TX; daughter: Le'ana Gibbs of Augusta, AR; grandchild: Nasir Alexander Gibbs of Augusta, AR; brothers: Elder Robert (Gwendolyn) Gibbs of Augusta, AR and Anthony Gibbs of Searcy, AR; sister: Sarah Gibbs of Augusta, AR; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday May 11 at 3:00 PM at the Holy Ghost Academy Church of God in Christ, 927 South 4th Street in Augusta with Superintendent Gerald Richardson serving as eulogist. Internment will take place at New Quite Cemetery North in Augusta by CJ Williams Funeral Directors and Cremations 124 S.
